About Ultralogix

Ultralogix is an Indigenous-owned, woman-led data company based in Smithers, British Columbia. We support Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations by delivering culturally informed data solutions that strengthen decision-making, build capacity, and support long-term community priorities.

Our work sits at the intersection of Indigenous knowledge systems and modern data practices. Using a Two-Eyed Seeing approach, we help organizations improve how information is managed, protected, and used through services including data governance, records management, digitization, analysis, reporting, and data stewardship.

Position Overview

Ultralogix is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Imaging Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract. This position plays an important role in preserving and modernizing records by converting paper documents into secure, searchable digital files.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, scanning, indexing, organizing, and quality-checking records while ensuring information is handled securely and confidentially. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with information, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Prepare, sort, organize, and analyze documents for digitization.
Digitize paper records using scanning equipment and established procedures.
Apply standard file naming conventions and metadata requirements.
Upload digital records into databases and document management systems.
Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure scanned records are complete, legible, and accurately indexed.
Ensure documents are properly classified, labeled, and stored for efficient retrieval.
Maintain document security and confidentiality at all times.
Assist with records organization and filing activities as required.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Follow established records management and information governance procedures.

Qualifications

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to confidentiality and respectful handling of personal and sensitive information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Experience with scanning equipment, document management systems, or records management practices is considered an asset.
Ability to lift and carry boxes of paper records.
Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
