We operate with structured processes and a strong financial foundation. As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a highly experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator with hands-on trucking industry experience.

Remote or hybrid work is NOT available. This is not an entry-level position.

Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level, hands-on professional who can independently manage full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance within a trucking/logistics environment.
This is an execution-focused role, not supervisory. You will be expected to take full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for trucking operations
- Handle Accounts Payable & Receivable (fuel cards, tolls, permits, vendors)
- Process Canadian payroll (T4), driver settlements, and reimbursements
- Prepare and file GST/HST returns and CRA reports
- Manage IFTA and provincial fuel tax reporting
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Track equipment costs, depreciation, and maintenance expenses
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Support year-end closing and audit processes
Requirements (Strict – Must Meet)
- Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with North American companies
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (mandatory)
- Direct experience in trucking or transportation accounting (strongly preferred / asset)
- Proven experience with Canadian payroll (T4, CRA compliance)
- Strong understanding of GST/HST and IFTA reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision
