Our team at Viva Orthodontics is looking for an enthusiastic Licensed Dental Assistant (formerly referred to as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in British Columbia) to join our well-established practices in New Westminster and South Surrey, British Columbia.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Assist Orthodontist with all stages of orthodontic procedures such as direct bond bracket procedures, arch wire and appliance adjustments, and aligner appointments
Providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner
Sterilization procedures, setting up the operatories, taking x-rays, photos, and intraoral scans
Building positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule
Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system
Provide patient instruction/education
Provide reports to parents/guardians
Ability to perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the practice

Must hold current licensing/registration required to practice as a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) (formerly referred to as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in British Columbia). New graduates welcomed!
Completion of the Orthodontics Module
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Positive and collaborative attitude
Strong commitment to infection prevention, sterilization, and maintaining a clean clinical environment
