Full job description

Apprentice Automotive Technician / Tire, Brake and Alignment Technician

Sparwood, BC

If you’re looking to build a long-term career in the automotive trade and prefer hands-on work, this is a strong place to start. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians, developing your skills in tires, brakes, and alignments. You’ll gain real experience on the tools, with the training and support to keep progressing through your apprenticeship. From day one, you’ll have the training, equipment, and support to do your job safely and build your skills. Whether you’re starting out or looking to grow in the industry, you’ll have a clear path forward here.

Responsibilities

Install, remove, repair, and balance tires for passenger and light truck vehicles
Perform brake services, shock replacements, and wheel alignments
Assist with inspections and basic mechanical services (oil, lube and filter)
Diagnose tire and basic mechanical issues with support from the team
Operate shop equipment, including alignment and flush machines
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times

Requirements

Enrolled in an Automotive Technician program or equivalent experience
Valid driver’s license
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and movement
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Committed to working safely
