We're looking for a playful, energetic, and easygoing nanny for a wonderful family in Sturgeon County. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children, isn't afraid to get down on the floor to play, and can balance fun with responsibility. About the Role
This is a live-out position caring for young children in a loving family home. The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted part of their team—someone who can create engaging days filled with play, learning, laughter, and outdoor time while maintaining routines and providing excellent care.
Along with childcare, you'll help keep the household running smoothly through light housekeeping, meal preparation, children's laundry, and occasional pet care.
A reliable vehicle is required, as the home is located in Sturgeon County and transportation of the children is required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing loving, attentive care
- Planning fun, age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, and outdoor adventures
- Preparing meals and snacks while keeping little tummies full and happy
- Supporting routines, naps, hygiene, and learning through play
- Driving children to school and activities when needed
- Helping with children's laundry, dishes, light housekeeping, and light meal preparation
- Providing occasional light pet care
- Communicating with parents about the children's day

Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Standard Child Care First Aid with CPR Level B or C
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Previous childcare experience (private nanny experience is an asset)
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Childcare-related references
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Schedule
Please note that this is a sample schedule. Shifts will vary from week to week based on our family's needs, but this should provide a good sense of our typical rhythm and what a month generally looks like.
Weeks 1 & 2
- Monday: 5:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Tuesday: 11:15 AM – 4:45 PM
- Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM
- Thursday: 11:15 AM – 5:45 PM
- Friday: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Weeks 3 & 4
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Thursday: 11:15 AM – 8:00 PM
- One Saturday or Sunday each month: 5:00 PM – Midnight
Average: 25–30 hours per week over a four-week rotation.
