Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

3-Month Contract - With Potential Extension | Part-Time | Squamish, BC

About Vitality Lab

Vitality Lab is a fitness studio in Squamish, BC where movement is medicine and community fuels confidence. Offering yoga, mat pilates, and strength training for all levels, Vitality Lab is also proud to be the only studio in Squamish offering onsite childcare, making it a truly unique space for the local community.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, self-driven Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to lead the revamp of our marketing strategy and elevate our brand presence across digital channels. This is a 3-month contract with the potential for extension, ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible environment and wants real ownership over a brand's voice.

This role requires regular on-site availability to attend and film classes, so candidates must be local to the Squamish area. You will work closely with and report to the studio owner/manager and operations manager.

Hours: 5 to 8 hrs/week

Pay: $23/hr

What You'll Do

Content Creation

Build and maintain a social media and content calendar
Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms
Design marketing materials for email and print
Produce photo, video, and written assets that authentically represent the Vitality Lab brand
Attend classes on-site to capture photos and video that reflect the real Vitality Lab community
Develop promotional content around class schedules, special events, seasonal campaigns, and challenges
Produce member testimonials to build community trust and social proof
Ensure a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels

Community & Engagement

Respond to comments, DMs, and reviews to nurture an active and loyal online community
Manage and maintain the Vitality Lab Google Business Profile, including posts, photos, and review responses
Support the promotion of referral or loyalty programs

Campaign Management

Plan and execute integrated digital campaigns across social, email, and web
Manage paid social media advertising campaigns to support class bookings and brand awareness
Track performance metrics across organic and paid channels and translate data into actionable improvements
Stay current on platform trends and algorithm updates to maximize reach and engagement

What We're Looking For

Experience in marketing, social media, content creation, or a related field
Strong portfolio or examples of past creative work (video, photography, graphics, copy)
Confident behind the camera, with a strong eye for capturing short-form video content and photos
Proficient in photo editing to ensure a polished and consistent visual aesthetic
High proficiency with Canva, social video editing software (Instagram Edits, Capcut, etc.), and Mailchimp
Experience with paid social media advertising (Meta Ads)
Experience with Mindbody (or the ability to learn)
Familiarity with Squarespace or similar website platforms
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft captions that on-brand
Solid understanding of platform algorithms, community management, and content strategy across Instagram and Facebook
Organized and deadline-oriented without losing your creative spark
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, while collaborating closely with studio leadership
Must be local to the Squamish area and available to attend on-site filming sessions
