Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club features a beautiful 10,000 square foot clubhouse with virtual golf, dining areas, pro shop, snack bar, and kids club to accommodate the many needs of club members and guests.
The club offers a variety of golf services including night golf, aqua range, tournaments, events, corporate
meeting venue, private parties, winter activities, weddings and more! The Cattail Crossing Golf and Winter Club is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team.
Working outside on the golf course performing daily golf course maintenance activities as instructed by the Superintendent. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions
- Assess the health of lawns
- Manage landscaping projects
- Direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes
- Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures
- Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products
- Maintaining course beds for optimum presentation
- Weed eating and trim work
- Operation of leaf blower and debris removal equipment
- Landscaping Projects
- Dependable Team player
- Maintaining equipment and general shop cleanliness
- Reporting any on course issues to supervisors
- Assist in spring set up and fall shut down of the golf course
- Maintenance over the winter
- Set up and grounds keeping for winter activities
- Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 – 50 lbs)
- Respectful to fellow staff members & golf course guests
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a golf course greenskeeper
- Completion of secondary school is usually required.
- Knowledge of interlocking brick / pavers and retaining walls
- Knowledge of irrigation systems
- Knowledge of ornamental ponds, fountains and water features
- Knowledge of pathway maintenance
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and team skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Strong administration and organizational skills
- Physical capability for frequent heavy lifting
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation to our location
- Ability to work shifts – days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Some overtime may be required.
