Job Summary
We’re looking for a friendly, organized and confident Receptionist/Studio Assistant to join our tattoo shop team!
You’ll be one of the first people our clients meet, so we’re looking for someone who is welcoming, approachable and genuinely enjoys talking to people. You’ll help keep the studio running smoothly day-to-day, from answering enquiries and booking appointments to keeping the front of house clean, organized and looking its best.
This role is hands-on, and we’re looking for someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked. Keeping the studio clean and tidy throughout the day is an important part of the job, as is helping us build our presence on social media.
We’re also looking for someone who is confident and well-versed in social media and marketing, with an understanding of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and how to create engaging content that represents our brand.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcome clients into the studio with a friendly, positive and professional attitude
- Answer phone calls, messages and client enquiries promptly and helpfully
- Book and manage client appointments and consultations
- Communicate with clients through social media, email, phone and other platforms
- Help keep the studio running smoothly and provide support to the artists throughout the day
- Keep the reception area, waiting area and other client-facing areas clean, tidy and presentable throughout the day
- Be proactive with daily cleaning and general upkeep — if you see something that needs doing, get it done!
- Help with opening and closing duties when required
- Assist with general admin, including updating client information and managing bookings
- Help create, organize and post content across our social media platforms
- Have a good understanding of social media marketing and what makes content engaging
- Help promote the studio, our artists, tattoos, flash and upcoming promotions online
- Bring ideas to the table for social media content and ways we can continue growing our online presence
- Help create a welcoming, fun and professional atmosphere within the studio
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with clients face-to-face, over the phone and online
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- An understanding of social media marketing, content creation and engagement
- Someone who is proactive and happy to take responsibility without constantly needing direction
- Someone who takes pride in keeping their workspace clean, organized and presentable
- Highly organized with good attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers, booking systems, email and everyday office software
- Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy tattoo studio environment
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Previous receptionist, customer service, hospitality or tattoo industry experience is an asset, but personality and attitude are just as important
The Right Person
We’re looking for someone who fits into the personality of our studio — friendly, confident, hardworking and not afraid to get stuck in.
You don’t need to know everything about tattoos, but you should be comfortable around them, interested in the industry and happy working in a busy, creative environment.
