Keener Electric is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing and supporting commercial electrical construction projects throughout Southern Ontario.
We are looking for someone who is driven, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate understands commercial electrical systems, has strong estimating experience, and possesses a solid understanding of the Southern Ontario construction industry and tendering market.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive commercial electrical estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and project documentation
- Perform material takeoffs, labour calculations, and project cost analysis using estimating software and related tools
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, general contractors, and clients to obtain pricing and clarify project scope
- Develop and maintain organized databases of pricing, labour rates, subcontractor information, and historical cost data
- Identify scope gaps, project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures
- Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and estimating strategies
- Support project management and operations teams during project handoff and startup
- Monitor bid opportunities and maintain estimating schedules to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Represent Keener Electric professionally in all communications and business relationships
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial electrical estimating is required
- 309A Electrical License preferred, or extensive commercial electrical field experience and system knowledge
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction practices, codes, and systems
- Familiarity with the Southern Ontario construction industry and tendering environment is considered a strong asset
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and estimating/project management software
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional, dependable, and results-oriented mindset

This position includes an initial probationary and performance evaluation period. Pay: $75,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
