Full job description

Smart Serve Certification required (valid number required)
Serving experience considered an asset
Strong attention to detail, including grooming and presentation standards
High-energy, outgoing personality with a strong focus on guest service
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing priorities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Flexible availability, including days, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
Strong multitasking skills and commitment to exceptional customer service

The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up, service, and breakdown of banquet functions in accordance with event orders and service standards. This includes serving food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages in compliance with Smart Serve requirements), setting and clearing tables, ensuring proper place settings, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms throughout events. The role also involves communicating with the kitchen regarding menu items, dietary requirements, and special requests, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction, and promptly responding to guest needs and inquiries. Additional responsibilities include handling guest complaints professionally, attending daily stand-up meetings, restocking supplies and tableware, and completing closing duties for future events.
