Job Overview
The Front of House Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front-of-house activities in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting. This position is responsible for overseeing the guest experience, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Train, mentor, and manage front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
Oversee the scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas to meet health and safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels for bar and dining supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
Implement policies and procedures to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
Excellent customer service skills with a keen ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
Knowledge of food handling practices and health regulations.
Experience in bartending is a plus; familiarity with beverage service standards is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality service.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
A background in hospitality or hotel management can enhance suitability for this role.
