Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stair Installer/Helper to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation of staircases, working alongside experienced carpenters and construction professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic construction knowledge, be physically fit and have a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling stair components according to project specifications.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, and fastening materials
Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
Carry heavy materials and equipment safely to designated work areas
Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to quality workmanship on each project

Qualifications

Prior construction experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn on the job is essential
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction safety practices
Ability to read blueprints or schematics
Experience with carpentry, woodworking, or framing is advantageous
Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform heavy lifting tasks, and stand for extended periods
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety awareness
Reliable transportation and punctuality are necessary for consistent job site attendance
Possess a valid G Driver's License
Experience driving vans and cube trucks

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
