Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Lunch Cook / Prep Cook to join our café team in a permanent part-time position (25+ hours per week).

This is a long-term opportunity. We are not hiring students or seeking seasonal employees at this time. We are looking for someone who wants to become a valued member of our team and grow with our business.

At our café, everything is made from scratch. We bake our own breads, prepare our soups, salads, and sandwiches in-house, and use fresh, whole, minimally processed ingredients to create exceptional meals for our guests. Every plate that leaves our kitchen reflects our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and beautiful presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare gourmet soups, fresh salads, and artisan sandwiches entirely from scratch.
Cook, slice, and process fresh, drug-free, minimally processed meats.
Wash, chop, and prepare fresh vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients daily.
Create beautifully plated meals with exceptional attention to detail and presentation.
Work with our house-made breads to build gourmet sandwiches.
Follow recipes and maintain consistency in quality, taste, and appearance.
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
Assist with daily prep, inventory, and maintaining a well-stocked kitchen.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a prep cook, line cook, café cook, or in a scratch kitchen is preferred.
Passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
An eye for detail and pride in creating visually stunning, restaurant-quality plates.
Comfortable handling and preparing fresh meats and produce.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

We're searching for someone who loves cooking from scratch and believes that every meal should be both delicious and beautifully presented. You'll take pride in transforming fresh vegetables, quality meats, and our house-made breads into gourmet soups, salads, and sandwiches that delight our customers.

Please note:

Permanent part-time position (25+ hours per week).
Not suitable for students due to the consistent daytime schedule and long-term commitment we require.
