** 16 month Maternity Leave coverage with possibility of extension**

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and office functions. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and experience within a medical setting. The Medical Office Assistant will play a vital role in coordinating patient services, managing clerical tasks, and supporting human resources functions to enhance overall clinic efficiency.

20-40 hours a week

Duties

The main role of this position is to learn all aspects of the daily clinic function. The "Floater" will cover staff when they are on vacation, control the fax server appointment notifications and provide support to the office staff.

Greet patients and visitors with professional phone etiquette and friendly demeanor
Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and patient inquiries
Bp checks, heigh and weight and able to give immunizations an asset
Perform clerical duties such as data entry, document preparation, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information

Experience

Prior office experience in a medical or healthcare environment is preferred
Supervising experience is advantageous for team management responsibilities
Proficiency multi-line phone systems and Telus Health an asset
Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential
Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced setting

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
