About the Role
The Niagara Falls Convention Centre is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Supervisor to lead front-line security operations and support the safety and security of guests, clients, business partners, vendors, and Associates.
Reporting to the Security Manager, this position is responsible for supervising daily security operations, coordinating internal and contracted security personnel, responding to incidents and emergencies, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable legislation.

Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Emergency Response
- Supervise and coordinate daily security operations throughout the facility.
- Conduct and oversee facility patrols and respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm, and surveillance systems.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives and assist with the implementation of emergency response procedures.
- Complete investigations and maintain accurate incident reports, logs, and security documentation.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for guests, clients, partners, and Associates.
Team Leadership & Development
- Schedule and oversee internal and contracted security personnel.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to security staff.
- Participate in onboarding and development of new team members.
- Support day-to-day operational requirements and departmental objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer service excellence.
Event Security & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support event security planning and risk management initiatives.
- Liaise with emergency services, contractors, clients, and internal departments.
- Support shipping and receiving security, lost and found administration, and asset control processes.
- Ensure compliance with NFCC policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Education & Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive security experience.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating security personnel.
- Experience within a convention centre, hospitality, entertainment, event venue, or large public assembly environment considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Security Management, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience developing security plans and emergency response procedures is preferred.
Required Certifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification.
- Smart Serve Certification.
