As a member of the Commercial Services team within the Business Banking Group, the Senior Manager, Credit Solutions, Commercial Services is responsible for the credit management, underwriting, and administration of a commercial loan portfolio as well as provide underwriting support for new loan origination. This role leads a team of commercial Business Analysts and supports the Commercial Account Management team in achieving sales targets in loans, mortgages, deposits, and fees, with the objective of driving a great member experience.

Lead, coach and support team of commercial Business Analysts, strengthening technical skills, business knowledge, performance, and communication of key changes

Support Business Analysts in conducting annual reviews of existing members and maintain annual reviews/renewals/delinquencies within targeted levels

Work closely with the Account Management team to assess new business opportunities to achieve expected revenue and growth targets

Support commercial credit transactions by structuring and negotiating deals, preparing credit writeups, reviewing files, collaborating with the Credit Department to secure approvals within risk guidelines, and providing sound recommendations supported by detailed financial, business, and credit analysis

Monitor and manage the commercial lending portfolio to ensure adherence to risk and policy guidelines, including oversight of risk-mitigating strategies, audit considerations, and the preparation and maintenance of reporting for senior leadership

Communicate with members on a day-to-day basis, responding to questions and inquiries regarding products, services, and advice

Maintain a strong understanding of local market activity, competitive positioning, and relevant economic and industry trends

Oversee the collection and compilation of information required to monitor the commercial loan portfolio

Be aware of enterprise risk management issues as they relate to lending services and bring forward strategic and risk issues for discussion, review and solutions

Maintain a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures as they pertain to the operations of lending services

Truly believe in our products and services and be able to communicate to business members and future business members how we can improve their financial lives

Consider healthsafety as a primary concern to ensure the overall well-being of self and others Perform other duties as required

Have a post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Commerce and/or Economics or an equivalent combination of educationand industry experience

Have a strong business acumen with 4-6 years of experience in Business/Commercial banking or experience from other member-facing and/or Credit adjudication roles

Have 3+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate underwriting

Development and Construction underwriting experience is considered an asset

Stay abreast of all credit and investment product and services and stay current on our processes

Be confident and skilled in taking initiative, assessing requirements, developing plans and taking the lead in making plans a reality

Salary Range: $93,677 to $128,806 annually.
Compensation for this role reflects a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Those whose experience more closely aligns the role's requirements may be placed higher within the salary range.
