Position Summary
Bluewater Environmental Solutions is seeking an experienced and safety-focused AZ/DZ Operator to join our growing operations team.
This position involves operating tanker trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, and lugger trucks to support the transportation, collection, and disposal of liquid and solid waste materials. The successful candidate will work closely with dispatch, project supervisors, and customers to safely complete transportation and field service assignments.
This role is ideal for an operator who enjoys a variety of work, takes pride in maintaining equipment, and is committed to delivering exceptional service while operating safely in industrial, commercial, municipal, and marine environments.
Due to the nature of our business, schedules may vary and can include evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency response call-outs.
Key Responsibilities
· Safely operate AZ/DZ licensed vehicles, including:
o Tanker trucks
o Vacuum trucks
o Roll-off trucks
o Lugger trucks
· Transport liquid and solid waste materials to approved treatment, recycling, and disposal facilities.
· Perform vacuum loading and unloading operations for liquids, sludges, and waste materials.
· Operate pumps, hoses, valves, and associated equipment required for waste collection and transfer.
· Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections.
· Ensure all manifests, bills of lading, and daily logs are completed accurately.
· Follow all transportation, environmental, and health and safety regulations.
· Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance concerns promptly.
· Communicate effectively with dispatch, project supervisors, customers, and facility personnel.
· Assist with industrial cleaning and environmental service projects when required.
· Represent Bluewater Environmental Solutions professionally at all customer locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Preferred Experience
· Experience operating tanker trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, and/or lugger trucks.
· Experience transporting liquid waste, solid waste, sludge, or contaminated materials.
· Experience within the environmental services, waste management, industrial services, construction, marine, or transportation industries.
· Experience working at industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, marine terminals, or construction sites.
· Knowledge of TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) regulations.

Required Qualifications
· Valid DZ or AZ Driver's License.
· Clean driver's abstract.
· Ability to obtain site-specific security clearances where required.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
Certifications Considered an Asset
· TDG Certification
· First Aid/CPR
· Confined Space Entry
· Working at Heights
· Forklift Operator Certification
· Spill Response Training
· Vacuum Truck Operator Experience
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
· Ability to climb ladders and access vehicle tanks and equipment safely.
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Ability to work in industrial, commercial, marine, and waste management environments.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits
· $30.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
· Full-time employment with overtime opportunities.
