Full job description

Position Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day processing and administration of accounts payable for Two Sisters Vineyards and its group of companies.

This role is highly detail-oriented and transaction-focused, ensuring invoices are accurately coded, approved, entered and paid on time. The position will also provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

· Receive, review and process vendor invoices for multiple entities.

· Verify invoices for appropriate coding, approvals and supporting documentation.

· Enter invoices accurately into the accounting system.

· Maintain organized electronic and physical invoice records.

· Process vendor payments, cheque runs and electronic payments.

· Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.

· Respond to routine vendor inquiries.

· Maintain accurate vendor information and documentation.

· Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on missing approvals or documentation.

Accounts Receivable & Daily Transactions

· Assist with customer invoicing, payment processing and deposits.

· Enter and reconcile daily financial transactions.

· Assist with daily sales reporting and retail audits.

· Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.

· Support the collection and organization of sales reports, cash summaries and other financial documentation.

Accounting & Administrative Support

· Assist with journal entries and account coding as required.

· Maintain accounting spreadsheets, schedules and supporting documentation.

· Monitor the accounting inbox and ensure invoices and requests are routed and processed appropriately.

· Collect invoices and financial documentation from the Company's various properties.

· Assist with month-end processes and reconciliations.

· Support the Finance team with audits, reporting and other projects as required.

· Conduct bank runs and other finance-related errands as required.

Qualifications

· 1-3 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.

· Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or a related field is an asset.

· Experience processing invoices and payments.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Comfortable working with Excel and accounting software.

· QuickBooks experience is an asset/required

· Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

· Experience in hospitality, winery, agriculture or beverage production

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
