Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes that delight our customers. This role involves applying artistic decorating techniques, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. The Cake Decorator will play a vital part in delivering high-quality baked goods for special occasions and everyday treats, contributing to the overall success of our bakery.

Duties

Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods according to customer specifications or design templates
Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and decorative elements using various food preparation techniques
Ensure all decorating work meets quality standards and presentation expectations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with baking and food preparation as needed to support production schedules
Package finished products securely for delivery or customer pickup
Interact with customers to discuss design ideas and provide personalized service
Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating, with a strong portfolio showcasing artistic skills
Prior experience in restaurant or bakery environments preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques within the food industry
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Basic kitchen experience including food handling, packaging, and general cleanliness practices
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
