As a Service Drive Thru Attendant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for customers arriving for service appointments. Acting as one of the first points of contact in the Service Department, you will help ensure the service drive-thru operates safely, smoothly, and professionally throughout the day.

Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Volkswagen St. John's
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Starting Wage: $17 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcome customers warmly and professionally while assisting with inquiries and directing them appropriately.
- Document customer and vehicle information accurately for service appointments.
- Tag incoming customer vehicles and apply protective covers including seat, floor mat, and steering wheel covers.
- Perform preliminary wheel alignment assessments.
- Manage vehicle flow through the service drive-thru to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Securely receive, organize, and store vehicle keys.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive-thru, including removal of litter, snow, and debris.
- Perform minor vehicle presentation and visibility cleaning duties; this role does not involve full vehicle detailing services.
- Rearrange vehicles within the service lot to maximize parking availability and efficiency.
- Assist with Lot Attendant responsibilities as needed.
- Support additional operational duties assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent considered an asset.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles required.
- Clean Driving Abstract required.
- Certificate of Good Conduct required.
- Previous automotive, customer service, or dealership experience considered an asset.
- Ability to commute to or relocate to St. John’s, NL.

What You’ll Experience in the Role
Physical demands of the role include:
- Moving throughout the drive-thru, wash bays, service department, and parking lots.
- Standing, bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing.
- Assisting with seasonal snow clearing.
- Utilizing physical and manual dexterity throughout the workday.
- Operating equipment and vehicles consistent with industry standards.
This position involves working in an active dealership environment with exposure to:
- Noise, vibration, dust, and exhaust fumes.
- Wet or slippery surfaces.
- Hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Extreme heat and cold depending on seasonal conditions.
Safety Expectations
- Steel toe safety boots are required.
- PPE including high-visibility safety vests and eye protection must be worn as required.
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain awareness of workplace hazards and safe work practices.
- Be prepared to respond appropriately in emergency situations, including evacuation procedures and emergency equipment use.
