Full job description

Come work at one of Stratford's hot spots. Trendy adventurous menu and made from scratch dishes. An unbelievable team to work with. The Sous Chef works out the menu plan and other food-related activities of the establishment. They efficiently work the line, prepare food, replenish food stocks, and guide the staff to ensure that all food preparation protocols are respected. The Sous Chef is responsible for ordering from suppliers and ensuring the kitchen is equipped with all necessary tools. Additionally, they see to it that only the highest quality of food is to be served. The Sous Chef takes part in planning the menu items as well, including features and menu additions. Working with the CDC and the Executive Corporate Chef to ensure that Mercer Kitchen is considered amongst the best restaurants and businesses in Stratford and surrounding areas.

Excellent ability to multitask in a high volume kitchen and environment
Excellent knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
Strong organizational skills
Excellent ability to work under pressure
Way above average communication skills for attracting, recruiting and training new staff members
Excellent teaching abilities
Great leadership skills
Ability to smile through pressure
Respectful and kind teamwork attitude
3 to 5 years experience as a line cook or sous position

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
