Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and well-being of young children in a classroom setting. This role involves assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for children from infancy through preschool age. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, strong communication skills, and a background in early childhood education or related experience working with young learners. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's growth and learning during their formative years.

Duties

Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Assist with supervising children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement.
Help facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences, including basic math, language development, and fine motor skills activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by encouraging participation and respectful interactions among children.
Communicate effectively with children to support their individual needs and developmental progress.
Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials, cleaning up after activities, and maintaining a tidy learning space.
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities as needed and collaborating with specialists or therapists when required.
Observe and document children's progress, behavior, and any concerns to share with lead teachers or parents.

Requirements

Prior classroom experience or experience working directly with children is highly preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Ability to engage children in educational activities that foster learning in areas such as math, literacy, and social skills.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children's growth.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining flexibility in daily routines.
Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a safe and nurturing space for children to thrive.

Pay: $18.50-$19.00 per hour
