Full job description

Front Office Manager – Staybridge Suites London, Ontario

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and experienced Front Office Manager to lead our front desk operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences at Staybridge Suites London, Ontario. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily front desk activities, manage guest services, and ensure smooth communication between departments. Your leadership will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining strong operational and brand standards.

Duties

Supervise, train, and support front desk staff to maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Manage multi-line phone systems and ensure prompt, courteous, and professional communication.
Oversee guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and special accommodations with a positive and solution-focused approach.
Maintain organized front desk operations, including reservations, billing, cash handling, and record keeping.
Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Monitor guest satisfaction and address service issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, privacy requirements, and IHG brand standards.
Assist with scheduling, coaching, performance management, and ongoing training of front desk associates.
Support the General Manager with daily hotel operations and other duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications

2–3 years of hotel front desk or hospitality experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership position.
Previous IHG experience is required.
Experience with IHG systems, standards, and operating procedures is strongly preferred.
Previous experience as a Front Desk Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager, or similar leadership role is an asset.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
Ability to effectively lead, train, and motivate front desk team members.
Experience with hotel PMS, reservation systems, and multi-line phone systems.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
