PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY
The Production Technician reports to the Production and Inventory Department. This role will facilitate the storing and inventory control of our quality cannabis goods sold domestically and to international destinations. Attention to detail is crucial as this role will be the responsible for the final appearance of our product. The Production Technician participates on a team for all processing of cannabis product past the harvest stage, bulk packaging, final packaging, and mastercasing to pallets for Safari’s clients.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Daily team work to process dried cannabis into final bulk or finished packaged goods ready for retail.
Assist, when required, with the coordination of external testing of materials/products and sample retains bulk cannabis as per approved policy and specifications for domestic and international lots
Assist with monitoring environmental conditions of processing spaces and support quality deviations for tight process controls in manufacturing.
Contribute to data entry into documentation related to all production steps in the master batch records, adhering to policies on Good Documentation Practice and record entry.
Responsible for monitoring operational status of manufacturing equipment and verification of instruments of measurement used in production according to operating procedures.
Assist in sanitation activities in production room turn-overs, assisting in routine equipment inspections, and managing inflows and outflows of tools or equipment in clean storage areas.
Assist with bulk packaging, transfer, and storage in product vault
Assist with ensuring the accuracy of processed weights, interim and final weights, and product labeling of bulk cannabis wholesale transfers.
Maintains authorized storage zones for cannabis, lifts and arranges mastercases, and carries out palletization.
Contribute to a productive, collaborative, team environment, while helping to maintain safe and clean workplace in all areas of cultivation and production.
Adhere to set Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Health Canada Cannabis Regulations
May contribute to research and development activities related to product development from time-to- time and participate in scheduled testing studies.

QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years working within a clean manufacturing environment is a plus
Final packaging experience is a desirable asset
Prior experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) setting such as food, chemicals, or other over the counter (OTC) packaging work experience is a desirable asset.
Strong verbal and skills in Excel and other data entry skills with keen attention to detail
Forklift Operators Certification is highly valued
Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift weights of + 40 lbs onto shelving assemblies, in routine environments.
HOURS OF WORK
40 hours per week.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
