Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Supervisor / Line Cook to join our fast-paced restaurant team.

This position is ideal for someone who is confident working on the line while also being able to lead a shift, organize the kitchen team, maintain food quality, and ensure daily procedures are followed properly.

The right candidate will be hands-on, dependable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility during busy periods.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
Supervise and support kitchen staff during assigned shifts.
Assign tasks and organize team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
Ensure food is prepared accurately and orders are completed in a timely manner.
Complete and monitor daily food preparation and ensure adequate stock is available for each shift.
Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
Monitor product quality, temperatures, labeling, storage, and FIFO procedures.
Ensure daily cleaning and closing duties are properly completed.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cooking equipment, floors, workstations, fridges, and storage areas.
Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to management.
Help control food waste and ensure proper portioning.
Train and support new kitchen team members.
Communicate any equipment, maintenance, staffing, or operational concerns to management.
Lead by example and ensure restaurant policies and procedures are followed by the team.

Qualifications

Previous line cook or kitchen experience is required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
Ability to lead a team and communicate clearly.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently.
Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and busy shifts.
Valid Food Handler Certification is preferred/required based on the position.
Must be comfortable with standing for extended periods and performing regular kitchen duties.

We are looking for someone who is not afraid to work alongside the team while also taking ownership of the shift.
