Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shop Foreman for our automotive service center, Automotive 310-S. This leadership role involves overseeing daily shop operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, dealership experience, and excellent customer service skills to lead our team effectively and maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the automotive repair shop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
Lead and mentor technicians, providing guidance on complex repairs and troubleshooting procedures
Perform diagnostic assessments using schematics, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to identify issues accurately
Oversee vehicle repairs including mechanical work, welding, assembly, and maintenance tasks
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control protocols
Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for shop operations
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and technical issues
Maintain a clean, organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Qualifications

Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair is highly preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive systems and repairs
Proficiency with schematics, assembly processes, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle repairs or parts handling
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising a team of technicians or mechanics
Excellent customer service skills to address client needs professionally
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce safety standards in the shop environment
Prior experience working with automotive schematics and diagnostic tools is essential
