Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Recruiting Coordinator to join our team at TAG Logistics Corporation. In the transportation industry, talent is our most critical asset. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our operational capacity by managing the full-cycle recruitment process, with a specific focus on attracting, screening, and onboarding qualified drivers and logistics personnel. Responsibilities

End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, screening high-volume applications, conducting initial phone screens, and managing offer logistics.

Transportation Compliance: Ensure all potential hires meet strict industry & company standards, including validating Class 1 licenses, reviewing driver abstracts, and ensuring compliance with federal and provincial transportation regulations.

Operations Alignment: Collaborate closely with Operations Managers and the Safety Department to identify hiring needs for specialized roles (e.g., Team Drivers, LCV, Floaters, Shunters).

Process Management: Maintain accurate candidate data in our tracking systems, ensuring seamless transitions from recruitment to our detailed onboarding and training protocols.

Safety & Onboarding Coordination: Partner with our safety and training teams to initiate new hire setups (e.g., BisTrainer, BisSafety) and ensure all regulatory requirements are met before a driver is cleared for the road.

Active Pipeline Development: Proactively manage recruitment metrics to maintain adequate staffing levels for critical, time-sensitive freight commitments.

Skills & Qualifications

Industry Experience: Strong, demonstrable experience recruiting within the transportation or logistics industry. You must have a working knowledge of commercial driver requirements (e.g., HOS, TDG, WHMIS, and Class 1 licensing standards).

Operational Agility: Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where staffing directly impacts operational revenue.

Regulatory Familiarity: Understanding of the importance of safety compliance, WCB processes, and driver onboarding documentation.

Organizational Mastery: Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to pivot priorities quickly based on terminal staffing needs.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse candidates and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
