Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a CITY Owner Operator Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across urban and regional routes. In this vital role, you'll operate your own commercial vehicle, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers the independence of managing your own schedule combined with the support of a dedicated logistics network. Responsibilities

Safely operate your own commercial truck to transport freight within city limits and surrounding regions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement
Conduct routine inspections of your vehicle and equipment, including brakes, lights, tires, and safety features, to ensure optimal operation
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and delivery receipts for compliance and reporting purposes
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep your vehicle in top condition
Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents or damage during loading, unloading, or transit

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
Skilled in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, operate machinery, and perform inspections as required
