Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to grow within a vibrant hospitality environment dedicated to excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to recipes and standards
Oversee food handling procedures, maintaining strict compliance with food safety regulations
Prepare high-quality dishes consistently while maintaining presentation standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen at all times
Serve as a leader during service hours, supporting staff to deliver excellent customer experiences
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu development and operational improvements

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry best practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage team members effectively
Experience with restaurant management tasks such as inventory control and staff training
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly preferred
Familiarity with serving standards within a restaurant setting is advantageous
