Full job description

Position: Office Administrative Assistant – Student

Location: Stratford, ON

Hours: Full-time, Contract (Monday-Friday 37.5 hrs/week)

Compensation: $18-$20/hr

Role Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dependable student to join our team this summer as an Office Administrative Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a high school or college student to gain valuable office experience, develop professional skills, and work alongside an experienced team in a supportive environment.

No previous office experience is required—we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

What you will do:

Provide reception coverage during scheduled absences, including vacations.
Greet visitors and assist with general office inquiries.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments or individuals.
Provide administrative support to the Accounting Department.
File, scan, and organize paper and electronic documents.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices.
Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly EFT and cheque payment runs.
Provide administrative support to staff on day-to-day tasks.
Assist with accounting and customer service projects and other related duties as required.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Eager to learn and contribute as part of a team.
Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
