Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor
Location: The Bruce Hotel, Stratford, Ontario

The Bruce Hotel is a 5-Diamond boutique hotel located in the heart of Stratford, Ontario. Known for delivering exceptional service, refined culinary experiences, and a commitment to excellence, we are proud to offer a workplace rooted in professionalism, hospitality, and integrity. We are seeking a passionate and service-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our team and help lead our restaurant operations.

Position Overview:
The Restaurant Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the Food & Beverage team, ensuring smooth daily service and an elevated guest experience. This individual will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, Culinary Director, and Front of House team to uphold The Bruce’s high standards of hospitality, while supporting team training, daily floor operations, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the front-of-house team during service, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences
Supervise daily opening and closing procedures
Maintain high service standards and coach staff on best practices in hospitality
Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly, resolving issues with discretion and care
Collaborate with kitchen leadership to coordinate timing and communication between front and back of house
Assist with scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance feedback
Oversee cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the dining room and related areas
Support execution of special events, long table dinners, and private functions
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving when needed
Act as Manager-on-Duty when assigned

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction
Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
Knowledge of food and beverage service, wine, and fine dining etiquette
Smart Serve certification (required)
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
