Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
