Medical Affairs Coordinator
Status: Temporary, Full-Time (18 Months, with possible extension)
Department: Administration
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with required flexibility
Availability: May include evening and weekend work, as well as out-of-town travel
Language: Bilingualism (French & English) is considered an asset
Salary: $39.17 to $41.17 per hour
Position Summary
The Medical Affairs Coordinator plays a key role in supporting physician scheduling, recruitment, and relationship management for the West Nipissing General Hospital. Working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, this position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining physician coverage schedules to ensure operational needs across the hospital are met efficiently and effectively. In addition to scheduling responsibilities, the Coordinator actively leads physician recruitment initiatives by promoting the organization to prospective candidates, attending recruitment fairs and networking events, and identifying opportunities to attract high-quality medical professionals to the hospital and surrounding community.
As a key representative of the hospital, the Medical Affairs Coordinator is expected to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with physicians, medical learners and external partners through outstanding communication and relationship-building skills. Success in this role requires a proactive and service-oriented mindset, strong sales and recruitment abilities, and the flexibility to adjust working hours and travel based on operational and recruitment needs. Qualifications

Completion of a recognized university program in Business, Business Administration, or a Healthcare-related field
- Five (5)+ years of secretarial or administrative experience in a healthcare environment is considered an asset
- Three (3)+ years of scheduling or logistics experience is considered an asset
