Kitchen Production Lead

Location: Summerland, BC

Position: Full-timeWage: $23–$26 per hour, based on experience and ability.

About Flambé At Home

Flambé At Home is a growing heat-and-enjoy meal business specializing in premium, chef-prepared fresh and frozen meals. Our Summerland kitchen produces meals for our storefront, online ordering, delivery, wholesale partners and catering.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Kitchen Production Lead to help organize daily production and work alongside our small team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on cooking position with added leadership responsibilities. You will work closely with the Chef/Owner to organize prep, keep production moving and ensure the kitchen remains clean, stocked and on schedule.

Because we are a small team, everyone helps with all aspects of the kitchen. This includes batch cooking, prep, freezer pulls, packaging, dishes, cleaning and occasionally helping customers.

The schedule is predominantly daytime shifts, although some evening and weekend availability is required for catering, special events and seasonal production.

Responsibilities

Organize and execute daily prep and production
Prepare batch recipes accurately and consistently
Create and manage daily prep lists and freezer pulls
Help direct workflow and keep the team on task
Monitor ingredient and packaging levels
Ensure required products are added to ordering lists
Assist with receiving, inventory and ordering
Follow portioning, labelling and food-safety standards
Communicate shortages or production issues early
Package and organize finished products
Complete dishes, cleaning and sanitation tasks
Occasionally assist customers in the storefront
Support catering and special-event production when required

What We’re Looking For

At least five years of professional kitchen experience and preferably more
Experience with batch cooking, catering or high-volume production
Strong cooking, organization and time-management skills
Ability to follow standardized recipes and produce consistent results
Confidence helping direct workflow while remaining open to feedback
Strong inventory awareness and attention to detail
A clean, efficient and food-safe approach to kitchen work
Reliability, accountability and willingness to help wherever needed
Ability to stand throughout the shift and safely lift at least 50 pounds
FoodSafe certification or willingness to obtain it

Experience with sous vide cooking, braising, smoking, curing, pickling and other advanced culinary techniques is an asset.
