Full job description

We are seeking a Full-Time Seafood Clerk to join our AL Premium department. This role involves hands-on seafood preparation, customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of freshness, safety, and cleanliness, including working with live seafood.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve customers at the seafood counter with friendly and knowledgeable service
Handle, maintain, and care for live seafood (fish, crab, lobster, etc.) following animal care and safety guidelines
Cut, clean, fillet, scale, and prepare seafood products as required
Weigh, package, label, and display seafood items accurately
Provide customers with product information, freshness details, and cooking suggestions
Stock, rotate, and replenish seafood displays to ensure quality and availability
Inspect products daily, check expiry dates, and remove expired or spoiled items
Maintain clean, sanitized workstations, tanks, tools, and display cases
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times

Qualifications:

Experience in seafood handling or food preparation preferred
Comfortable working with live animals and sharp tools
Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
