Job Summary

Join our vibrant team as a Produce Clerk and become the essential link between fresh, quality produce and our valued customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the freshness and presentation of produce items, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and inviting. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive shopping experience that keeps customers coming back. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly, answer questions about produce selections, and assist with their shopping needs.
Stock shelves with fresh produce, ensuring items are well-organized, properly labeled, and visually appealing.
Maintain cleanliness of produce displays, including sweeping, sanitizing surfaces, and removing spoiled or damaged items.
Operate equipment such as forklifts safely when handling large or heavy produce shipments.
Conduct regular inventory checks to monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
Support merchandising efforts by creating attractive displays that highlight seasonal or promotional items.
Handle cashiering duties accurately at checkout counters and process transactions efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold safety standards across the store.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve our diverse customer base effectively.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers confidently.
Basic merchandising knowledge to create appealing displays that attract shoppers.
Willingness to perform cleaning tasks regularly to maintain a hygienic environment.
Cashiering experience is advantageous for handling transactions smoothly.
Good organizational skills to manage stock levels and keep work areas tidy.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
