Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Butcher to lead our team in a fast paced meat production environment . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of the meat industry, and a passion for quality and safety. This role is vital in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Head Butcher will oversee daily activities, coordinate with follow staff members, and uphold the company's commitment to excellence.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation, including butchery, meat cutting, and packaging
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Lead and train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards
Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of the work environment in compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with management to develop weekly specials an customer satisfaction
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

efficient in meat cutting and whole animal butchery
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures
Experience in meat cutting, packaging, and general food handling techniques
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food quality and safety standards
Previous experience in customer service within a culinary or retail setting is preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Relevant certifications in food safety or culinary arts are a plus
