Full job description

Job Summary

Looking for a construction helper to join our team, working on various construction sites around the Lower Mainland.

We are looking for reliable employees with a good work ethic to add to our growing construction division. Mainly Monday to Friday, full time.

Duties

Perform various tasks on construction sites as directed by the supervisor
Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction projects
Load and unload materials, tools and equipment
Dig trenches and excavations as needed
Pave and rake asphalt
Perform routine maintenance work
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Experience

Concrete Vibrators
Reciprocating, circular & concrete saws
Mortar and concrete mixers
Grinding machine
Jackhammers
Air compressors
Air guns
Tampers (Jumping Jack)
Small front end loaders
Chain saw
Compactor
Forklift
Sledgehammer
Hand Tools
Laser Level

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction or related field preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor for extended periods of time
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
The ability to use a laser level and shoot grades is a must
Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
