Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to lead construction project estimations and oversee project execution from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership skills, ensuring accurate cost projections and seamless project delivery. The ideal candidate will be passionate about construction, possess strong negotiation abilities, and excel in managing multiple projects efficiently. Join our team and contribute to building high-quality structures while advancing your career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We are also looking for a junior estimator with a background in construction or education from BCIT to train under a senior manager.

Duties

Prepare precise and comprehensive construction estimates using industry-standard software such as Explorer, plan swift and paydirt
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and scope adjustments that benefit both parties while maintaining project profitability.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating schedules, resources, and budgets to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure successful project completion within scope and budget.
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents thoroughly to identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities early in the process.
Lead bidding processes by soliciting competitive quotes, analyzing proposals, and selecting optimal subcontractors and suppliers.
Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and deliverables.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating combined with project management responsibilities within the construction industry.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Explorer and paydirt
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials pricing, and industry standards for accurate cost assessment.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
Construction experience that provides a solid understanding of site operations, safety protocols, and project coordination.
Familiarity with technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and contract language.
Education with a civil or landscape training
