Job Description
We are currently looking for experienced local Red Seal Pipefitters / Steamfitters to join our team for work throughout the Lower Mainland, BC.
Positions are available immediately.
This is a full-time opportunity; however, the duration of the work is currently undetermined and will depend on project requirements and workload. There may be opportunities for continued work as additional projects become available, but no specific end date or length of employment can be guaranteed.
The successful candidates will be experienced tradespeople who take pride in performing safe, high-quality work and are comfortable working in industrial, commercial, and construction environments.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of piping systems
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and piping isometrics
- Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and fitting pipe
- Installing valves, fittings, supports, hangers, flanges, and associated piping components
- Layout and fabrication of piping systems
- Flange alignment and bolting
- Hydrostatic and pressure testing of piping systems
- Rigging, hoisting, and positioning of piping and related equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing piping and mechanical systems
- Working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials
- Safe use of hand tools, power tools, threading equipment, grinders, and related trade equipment
- Working safely around operating industrial equipment and systems
- Following company and site-specific safety policies and procedures
- Coordinating work with supervisors, other trades, and site personnel
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Required Skills
Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of pipefitting practices and piping systems.
Successful applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong pipe layout and fitting skills
- Ability to read piping drawings, blueprints, and isometrics
- Knowledge of valves, flanges, fittings, gaskets, and piping components
- Understanding of piping installation, alignment, and testing procedures
- Experience with rigging and material handling
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Strong safety awareness and good work habits
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Climbing ladders and stairs
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in confined or restricted areas
- Working at heights when required
- Lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs or more when required
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
Required Experience
Relevant pipefitting experience in industrial, commercial, construction, maintenance, shutdown, or similar environments is preferred.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter certification preferred
- Experienced 3rd and 4th Year Pipefitter Apprentices may also be considered
- Valid driver's licence preferred
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

- AWP / Elevated Work Platform
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space
- WHMIS
- First Aid
- Rigging certification
Schedule
- Full-time
- 8- to 10-hour shifts depending on project requirements
- Overtime opportunities
- Weekend work may be available or required depending on project needs

Experience
Pipefitting: 5 years preferred
Licence / Certification
- Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter: Preferred
- 3rd or 4th Year Pipefitter Apprentice: Considered

Work Location: In person – various project locations throughout the Lower Mainland, BC
