Full job description

Job Summary
Talbot House is seeking compassionate and reliable Residential Care Workers to support men in recovery within a structured, supportive living environment. Staff play a key role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused atmosphere for residents.

Duties

Provide day-to-day support and supervision of residents
Assist with meal preparation and household duties
Maintain a safe and clean living environment
Support residents in following program structure and expectations
Monitor and document resident activities and incidents
Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations
Administer or support medication routines as required (if applicable)

Qualifications

Fluent in English (required)
Valid First Aid/CPR certification (considered an asset)
Valid driver's license
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform active duties
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working with addictions, mental health, or residential care (preferred but not required)
Willing and able to successfully complete a criminal background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
