Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting the culinary staff in food preparation and service. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, with some experience in restaurant or food service settings, and a strong commitment to food safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in meal preparation, food handling, and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure cleanliness and availability for food preparation.
Assist with basic meal and food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, counters, and floors to uphold health and safety standards.
Support the organization of kitchen supplies and ensure proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures diligently.
Help with general kitchen cleanup at the end of shifts, including waste disposal and sanitizing surfaces.
Assist in serving meals when needed, ensuring timely delivery to guests or customers.

Skills

Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation is a plus.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff.
Good organizational skills to manage cleaning tasks effectively.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting pots or moving supplies safely.
