Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional service. This position offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills within a vibrant restaurant environment, contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee food quality, presentation, and consistency in accordance with restaurant standards
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Support the development of new menu items and recipes in collaboration with the Executive Chef
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serving operations
Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Handle food handling procedures responsibly, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
Serve as a key leader during shifts, stepping in for the Executive Chef when necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management responsibilities preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Excellent understanding of restaurant management operations and kitchen workflows
Exceptional skills in food industry practices, including food handling, serving, and culinary techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Prior restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly valued
Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
