We are seeking an experienced mountain professional to join our leadership team as Lead Mountain Guide. This position is ideal for a guide who is passionate about operational excellence, mentorship, risk management, and helping lead one of Canada's premier heli-skiing operations.

Based in Terrace BC, Northern Escape Heli-Skiing (NEH) provides world-class small group heliskiing experiences in one of the world’s deepest and most reliable snowpacks. Spanning 3400 square kilometers of the Kitimat Ranges in Northwestern BC, the NEH tenure is famous for vast glaciated alpine terrain and abundant old growth tree skiing.
Job Description:
· Provide a safe and enjoyable skiing experience for guests
· Manage and mentor supporting guide staff
· Help supervise lodge operations
· Participate and lead in daily risk management decision making
Desired Qualities:

Desired Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years of heliskiing experience
· Demonstratable experience leading a team of professionals
· Previous management or supervisory experience
Qualifications:
· IFMGA Mountain Guide, ACMG Ski Guide or equivalent, CSGA level 3.
· Current 80-hour first aid course
· CAA operations level 2 or equivalent
· Class 4 Drivers license (preferred)
· WorkSafe BC Snow Avalanche Blasting ticket (preferred)

Working Schedule
Northern Escape operates from early November through mid-April. The Lead Mountain Guide works on a rotational schedule throughout the season, with our preferred shift pattern being two weeks on followed by one week off.
Accommodation and meals are provided while on shift, and travel assistance to and from Terrace, BC is available for employees travelling from outside the region.
