Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests, such as bloodwork and urinalysis
-Willing to work in emergency hours with a stipulated and attractive wage
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Take digital x rays including dental x-rays
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
-Perform Ultrasound on the dogs and cats and assist in transfering for interpreation
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
- Maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Veterinary Technician, or Veterinary Assistant
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred
-Willing to work on-call after hours emergency shifts
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and fellow staff
