Full job description

Special Electronics & Designs Inc. (SED Inc.) has been in the business of developing and supplying Communication System Solutions and Air Supply Products since 1971.

Special Electronics & Designs Inc. requires an experienced full-time Administrative Assistant with responsibilities covering a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of company administration. Other responsibilities will include coordinating and communicating office activities, greeting and screening visitors, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, scheduling appointments and light bookkeeping. The Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for administrating company correspondence.

The successful candidate has a proven record of attention to detail, accuracy and organization. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, team-oriented and has a positive attitude. Integrity, vision, professionalism, and passion are key components of this position.

Education: Accredited College Course for Administrative Assistant, and/or,

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in office administration, demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Typing: Minimum 50 wpm and effective use of program tools.

Skills: Good interpersonal development, good command of the English language (both written and verbal), attention to detail, accuracy, ability to formulate professional letters without supervision, bookkeeping is considered an asset.

Physical: Good health, full body mobility, and good keyboard dexterity.

Mental: Can work without direct supervision, able to multi-task, good time management, good mental acuity and problem solving, able to read, follow, and write instructions concisely.
