Job Type: Full-time (morning shifts)

About Us – SALTROSE

We are Tofino’s newest restaurant, located at Pacific Sands Resort, building an energetic and passionate team from the ground up.

Our menu is rooted in coastal comfort food — wood-fired cooking, fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, and handmade elements — all inspired by meals we’ve loved through travel and years in hospitality.

Breakfast and Lunch at Saltrose is all about quality, consistency, and setting the tone for the day — simple things done really well.

Position Overview

The Breakfast Jr. Sous Chef is responsible for executing a smooth, organized morning service & oversee daytime prep.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early starts, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in clean, consistent cooking. You’ll play a key role in setting up the kitchen for the rest of the day.

Key Responsibilities

Execute breakfast and Lunch service with consistency and attention to detail
Prepare and set up station for morning service
Cook eggs, brunch items, and breakfast-focused dishes to spec
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station
Assist with prep for both breakfast and transition into lunch
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Work closely with the team to keep service running smoothly

Qualifications

Previous line cook experience preferred (breakfast/brunch/lunch)
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and comfortable with early morning shifts
Positive attitude and team-first mindset
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
