Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in various accounting software.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and credit memos in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments or invoices.
Assist in month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Utilize accounting software QuickBooks Online for transaction processing.

Experience

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role.
College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes and GST/HST implications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
