Assistant Supervisor, Warehouse

The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Supervisor to support our daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will help lead our team in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment, ensuring that inventory moves efficiently from receiving to shipping while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

What You’ll Do

Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping workflows to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Delegate tasks, provide clear instructions, and support staff training to maintain high productivity and morale.
Monitor stock rotation (FIFO), conduct audits, and optimize space utilization to minimize waste.
Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to food-safety and warehouse regulations.
Implement handling procedures to protect product integrity and resolve shipment discrepancies quickly.
Coordinate with logistics, drivers, and internal departments to streamline warehouse flow.

What You Bring

Must-haves:

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock rotation, and warehouse safety.
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure.

Nice-to-haves:

Previous experience in produce distribution or temperature-controlled environments.
Valid Forklift certification.
Post-secondary coursework in Supply Chain or Logistics.

This position does not require Canadian experience beyond the skills and qualifications listed above.

Work Environment:

Active warehouse setting with varying temperatures, including cold storage areas.
Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Standard business hours with occasional weekends, holidays, or overtime during peak periods.
