Step Into Leadership – Security Supervisor Opportunity in Markham (Full-Time Overnight Shift)!

We are currently welcoming applications for a Security Supervisor to join our talent pool for a full-time opportunity at a corporate office site in Northern Markham. Qualified candidates will be among the first to be considered as this position becomes available for immediate placement.

Site: High End Commercial Building

Location: Markham, ON

Available Shift: Sunday to Thursday 11:00PM to 7:00AM

Pay Rate: $19 per hour, with opportunities for wage increases based on performance after successful completion of the probationary period.

Job duties a Security Supervisor at Commercial Building:

Delegate, lead, and maximize team performance
Ensure that all work assignments are fully staffed and completed according to job requirements
To assist the Security Guards in ensuring the safety and security of people, valuable materials, and classified documents pertaining to the premises
Provide ongoing coaching and support to security staff to promote professional development and maintain operational standards
Be the first and main contact with local police and fire station in case of any emergencies or any site related issues
Ensure all incident reports are completed and reviewed
After hour requirement to attend site if called upon by Wincon Management.
The supervisor has a specialist advisory responsibility and is required to regularly instruct and guide subordinates to ensure that the work is performed safely
Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License issued by the Private Securities & Investigative Services Act
Valid First Aid and CPR Level 'C' certificate
Minimum 1 years of security supervisory experience in a retail/commercial environment preferred
Strong conflict resolution, de-escalation, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to remain calm, make sound decisions, and respond effectively during emergencies and high-pressure situations
Advanced computer and technology proficiency is essential, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively operate multiple digital systems and platforms
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
Must have knowledge of CCTV Systems, Access Control Systems and Alarm Monitoring
Must be able to walk, run, stand for extended periods of time, in addition to climbing stairs
Possession of own vehicle is an asset
